You know sometimes, life brings on its complications It throws you an unexpected curveball
That's what happened to me about 2 ˝ years ago when I was diagnosed with diabetes
When I got out of the hospital that night, I made a commitment to myself that I wouldn't let it slow me down
And I'm here tonight to tell you, that it hasn't slowed me down.
You know sometimes, you just need a little bit of hope
And sometimes you just need a friend
When I had one of those days when nothing was going my way
About 6 months ago, so I sat down and wrote this song
So tonight, tonight this song, is for you.*This song is for every broken heart
and every lost friend
For every high and for every low
The day after I got out of the hospital, we did a show
A place called Bloomfield ave caféThere was 100 people at that show.
There's 15,000 here tonight and it sold out in 2 minutes
It hasn't slowed me down.
So if you're out there tonight and you just need a little bit of hope
Let me tell you something, I want you to sing this out with me right now
At the top of your lungs
Joe, show them what to do with their hands
C'mon people! Sing it out
lyrics of part i have
When I thought it'd all been done
When I thought it'd all been said
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine
But you don't know what you got
'Till it's gone
And you don't know what it's like
To feel so low
Everytime you smile or laugh you glow
You don't even know
No no
You don't even know
All this time goes by
Still no reason why
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine
Waitin' on a cure
But none of them are sure
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine
But you don't know what you got
'Till it's gone
And you don't know what it's like
To feel so low
And everytime you smile or laugh you glow
You don't even know
No no
You don't even know
No no
Two, three, four!
Yeah!
And you don't know what you got
'Till it's gone
And you don't know what it's like
To feel so low
And everytime you smile or laugh you glow
You don't even know
No
Yeah
Woah!
